Welcome to AboutUs.org!

Hello Marshall, my name is Kristina.

I noticed your contributions to the wiki DomainPage for CookingUpaStory.com - would you like to edit any other WikiPages or improve this one more?

I'm excited that you've joined AboutUs.org, a community of people collaborating and editing to build this wiki. Welcome! I wonder if you care to add a little bit about yourself on your personal page so the community may get to know you? (You can see mine as an example at User:KristinaWeis.) Let me know if you have any questions along the way - I'd love to hear from you! You can contact me in a variety of ways, the best being to leave a message on my talk page via the "talk" link in my signature below. You may also join the AboutUs WebIRC to chat or ask a question, and below are some links that I have found useful...

Welcome to the community!

User Page, Marshall Kirkpatrick and MarshallK.com pages

Hey Marshall, you're starting to become a "real entity" now. Before a few minutes ago, there were THREE pages all about you on AboutUs:

Anyway, long story short, I fused the last two pages into the User:Marshallkirkpatrick and have the first one redirecting to the user page. (So that there's "only" two pages on your lovely visage.) Fell free to switch any of this around if you prefer.

Wow!

You are really doing some great work and helping out in numerous ways. Props! Kristina ..talk.. 19:57, 6 December 2007 (PST)

I just saw your edit which is great, I just applied the standard CommunityReviewsFormatting here. You have a great eye for catching edits that didn't get caught for one reason or another. Best, Kristina ..talk.. 20:08, 6 December 2007 (PST)

What's Happening in PortlandTech

Hey Marshall,

I just stuck a "What's Happening in PortlandTech" on your User Page, mostly just to show you it. This wasn't in our "bag of tricks" and really is a "small sell" (if that), but Mark and I devised these yesterday as a way of coalescing community around things.

We're creating a bunch of modular "internal news feeds" that can be put on people's user pages so they can see the most dynamic updates to the AboutUs communities that they care about all on in one place (their user page). See also the CommunityNews template as another application. The idea is that any area/portal/mini-wiki we have (like DailyBuzz, DailyFun, Mosiacs, Anime, etc.) would have these modules so that users could place and monitor everything and anything. Eventually, these "news modules" (or whatever we call them) would push an RSS feed too.
