Description
I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho and now live in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA since around 1995. I've had a deep running passion for all things music, fashion and design for as long as I can remember. Five years of Suzuki Method piano lessons and performing with church choral groups as a young person led to the obligatory formation of a high school band, the spearheading of an Alternative Music Festival (at 16) and my eventual stumbling into the obscure and mind-blowing Idaho rave scene. It was 1993, I started deejaying on two mismatched thrift store turntables and have been throwing money away on records and equipment ever since.
Along with residencies and guest spots at almost every club in Salt Lake over the past 10 years I have found myself performing at an alarming range of events. Some highlights include the 2002 Winter Olympics, several Sundance Film Festival Galas, 1 Gay Pride parade, climbing, snowboarding and dodgeball (!) competions and one somber funeral. Many wonderful opportunities to travel and play in cities across the U.S. and abroad have come about as well including stints in England, Iceland, Cuba & Mexico.
It seems that I was born with a neverending enthusiasm to share this stuff called House and Techno music. I love all music of course, and in recent years have garnered a healthy, almost antropological appreiciation for other genres including a growing obsession with Jazz, Funk, Soul, Lounge, Classical, Gypsy Punk, Hair Metal and Nu Disco – or Nu anything really.
