- I was born in Japan (to a Japanese mother) and I lived in Japan and Korea for part of my childhood. My mom married my step-dad, my younger brother’s father. My family moved to California when I was eight and when Ed (my brother) was three. I do not know when exactly I started my adoration of Hello Kitty… but I do know I was very young… And it happened in Japan. I know this… Not because I remember it, but because I have pictures of myself when I was younger with Sanrio things (And because my mom tells me so).
