Nice to see a familiar, friendly face :), as I log on to look up links added to wikiHow articles to see if they are sources or spam. Hope all is well. Happy Halloween! [[User:Elocina|NicoleWillson]] 17:47, 31 October 2007 (PDT)

Welcome to AboutUs.org!

Hello Harold, my name is Kristina.

I noticed your contributions to UWEB:Status/HaroldRyan - it's great to see you joining in on this Consensus Poll! I just found this great Facebook application that does a wikiHow article of the day and added it to my profile.

I'm excited that you've joined AboutUs.org, a wiki resource that builds upon the knowledge and edits of people like you and I. Welcome! Would you care to add a little bit about yourself on your personal page so the community may get to know you? (You can see mine as an example at User:KristinaWeis.) Let me know if you have any questions along the way - I'd love to hear from you!). You can contact me in a variety of ways, the best being to leave a message on my talk page via the "talk" link in my signature below. You may also join the AboutUs WebIRC to chat or ask a question, and below are some links that I have found helpful...

Welcome to the community!

Sure thing, there's no precise definition of what an active member is but essentially it is someone who makes constructive edits for a while as opposed to someone that creates an account and just edits one day and bounces off the wiki. It can be self-elected or a category that gets added to your page when another active member thinks it's fitting. That probably doesn't answer your question, but it's a pretty gray area on purpose I think. It is different from an admin/sysop, although these will typically all be considered active members as well. I suppose the relative hierarchy goes from active member to community member to admin or sysop. KristinaWeis | **talk** 14:30, 19 October 2007 (PDT)
