Description
This particular blog was created August 30th, 2005 by myself. It’s hosted on GoDaddy’s reliable servers and is my primary site. My blog however, didn’t start in August. Though I have no date, I started my first blog on blogger.com and contributed to it for some time. Not too long after creating it, I also made a sister blog at Forumer.com and posted the same things to both. Around June, I decided I wanted full control over my blog, and went searching for a good blog software and a good, free host. I found both. I decided to use WordPress, a really simple yet amazing blog software which I still use to date. For hosting, after a long search I found scshost, a small, free, expandable free host. Sometime near the end of July, scshost closed it’s doors with no warning. Being at a cadet camp in Alberta with dial up internet and 15 minute limits, I was able to nothing for 4 weeks about it. I lost all posts, members etc. That’s why, once I got back, I decided to go with paid, reliable hosting and ended up with this.
The domain is winnopeg.com because as many of you will know, Winnopeg is my online username. I’d have prefered .ca, but they’re costly and not sold by GoDaddy, so I made due with .com.
From November on, Winnopeg.com has worn a custom theme, made by myself. Before that, it wore a few different themes - one of the most commun ones was the default theme for WordPress 1.5. I think the blog definatly got more unique with it’s own theme.
