DonaldNoyes on AboutUs:
I employ a method or a strategy which I call ThinkingOutLoud.
It goes something like this:
1) I have an idea which has been triggered by an InternetArtifact, or other interesting tidbit. 2) As I believe in DontLoseGoodIdeas, I am motivated to record my reactions and thoughts about the item. 3) I record the idea in one of a number of places, depending upon its relatedness. a) if it might be of interest to others in a community, I record the idea in the form adopted by that community for presentation of ideas, etc. b) if it concerns a subject which may only be of interest to myself, or I am not clear enough about it to project it in a public forum, I record it in a PersonalWiki which has thousands of categories. It will usually fit in one which already exists, if not, or I feel like creating a new category, I put it there. c) Even if it is only a fragment and does not have a clear connection to anything else, or I cannot classify it, It is recorded in my PersonalWiki using a category called GeneralTopics. 4) I include in the writing of the thought, as many HyperWords as I can compose which express well without confusion connections with a previous thought I have had or potential future thoughts. This helps when I am in a RefactoringFrameOfMind in processing or discarding thoughts previously recorded, or rediscovered in the process of recording a new thought. The use of HyperWords aids in the efficiency of MyPersonalDesktopSearchAgent.
When I have posted such thoughts publicly in the past, I have had mixed reactions and have received some feedback which I include in the post. Some thoughts seem to have failed to engender any public reaction, while I am confident that they can be meaningful without causing reaction, I have from past experience found that some of my thoughts may be far ahead of the "bleeding edge", or so poorly stated as to seem relevant.
My eventual goal is to compose ThinkingOutLoud segments which have reached a maturity and clarity which may make them valuable on my own WebSite.
I will create a place on that Website called SunflowerSynergies where users can discover these thoughts. ThinkingOutLoudPages OnMyWebsite
