- After another excruciating day of grading, I happened upon this show on PBS and was completely astonished. Albert Cullum's teaching methodology blows my mind. He let his students interact with literature and facts, he tapped into their natural passion that otherwise would have been reserved only for recess, and let them take part in their education. He made the learning process interactive and fun rather than a chore for kids to labor through every day. Instead of Dick and Jane, he had them onto the great classics of literature and drama in grade school. The footage of the kids acting out Shakespeare and Shaw (from memory!) is bizarre and exciting. I could watch hours of it.
