I just left a note on the featured discussion for KudosHospitality.co.uk. The work you've been doing on all of these is great! Once you're at or near a "done" point, leave me a Talk message. We'd love to feature the whole set in one feature. We can either do just the food-related companies, or the whole Oriel Group depending on your preference. Just let me know and keep on rockin'.
Also, check out what I just did to the navigation/company box on KudosHospitality.co.uk and Oriel-Group.co.uk. I replaced the image location URL for the Oriel Group logo with [[Image:Orielgrouplogo.jpg]]. This shows the logo still, but I now have the logo redirecting to Oriel-Group.co.uk, so the logo in the navigation/company box is also a link. I you like it, go ahead and implement across the board. If that's not your preference, feel free to change it back. --

Logo on KudosHospitality.co.uk
Hi Andrew, I noticed you moved the logo back on KudosHospitality.co.uk. That's fine, but try shrinking your screen window a bit and see how it looks on a lot of laptops. The words end up going over the thumbnail box and then (at really small windows) it gets even more wonky (at least on my Mac). Anyway, if this is still your preference or you've got some tricks to fix this, feel free. -- TakKendrick

Hi Andrew, I got your message about the name change. Looks like you've already move the page, I set the Oriel-Group.co.uk page to redirect to CrownGroup.co.uk. This way if anyone tries to look up the old page it'll go to the correct one. If we just deleted the page, then the bot would try to recreate it (because it's still technically a valid domain) and then we'd have the same mess all over. I would just like to tell you about the WhoWeAre consensus poll. This is a unique opportunity for all community members to discuss and decide what AboutUs is and more importantly what role we, the community, plays.
The discussion is still in its initial stages and there are a handful of people involved in this discussion. But it's not enough. Every one of us has a stake in this process. We all need to air our views. Our opinions will make a difference. We cannot and must not let a handful of people define us. We must speak out and contribute because we are being defined and I for one would like to have a say in how I am being defined.
Please contribute to this really important project. Without you it cannot successfully create a good definition of who we are. Tanwir Shah

NewSkin Beta Preview

One way that ActiveMembers stay "in the loop" is to participate in the beta previews of large new changes to the site before they are generally released.
Today we're starting a limited beta preview of an earthy NewSkin intended to reflect the alive and growing AboutUs community. This choice was made to reassure the many folks who feel that the internet is a "scary place" where mean people hide behind fake identities and shout insults at each other.
