- After a sleepless night, and waiting in the immigration office for what felt like an eternity, Christa got her green card. We are both extremely happy, and glad that the stress of the ordeal is over. I had been researching what would occur at our interview for a few weeks now, and every persons account of what would happen was wrong. We get called back into the interview room, and the mood could not be lighter. The interviewer was cheerful, and wanted to get us in and out as soon as possible. She swore us in, and then the only questions we got asked were to verify the information on the forms we had submitted previously. Then she told us everything was done, and Christa would get her green card in a week or so. The interviewer gave Christa a temporary stamp, and we were done. As Christa said, “Too much anticipation.”
