The Davis Ultimate Invitational (DUI) was this weekend. Traditionally the first club tournament in the Bay Area where teams start coming together and playing as teams (first tryout tournament). The Condors came with a skeleton crew (10) and paid the price in the warm Davis weather (I believe the average player played ~70 points over 4 games on Saturday, losing 3 games by a total of 4 points). My team, Spoonbender, was a hodge-podge of bay area players… some Jam, some Oaks, some Brass Monkey and one of the top LA Winter League players in the game. I had originally thought of taking a Jam tryout team, but decided against it.
