I just built a template that may or may not be useful for others. {{History}} allows you to list any WikiPage and it will show a link to both the page and the associative history for that page. For example, {{History|DailyFun}} will show a link like this: DailyFun(history). Could be useful for a couple of applications, especially if you're wanting to show someone what you've done on a page with only one link, or for teaching and transparency uses. -- TakKendrick | talk
Check out the new InfluenceUs feature. It shows up as a little eye icon by the watch, lock, and get page alerts links on Domain Pages. It provides a very simple wizard to help people make constructive "influential" comments on pages about organizations. Please play with it a bit and leave your comments on the InfluenceUs page. You'll also want to check out the InfluenceUs Log to see all the comments folks have made so far. Brandon
Check out our new and improved Email Alerts features. All newly subscribed people will now get an email on page move, delete and restore. Arif Iqbal
Check out the recently nominated pages on FeatureMePotentials page to give suggestions and comments. All new candidates are eager for your valuable feedback, so don't keep them waiting. Obed Suhail
GetSatisfaction.com looks like an amazing website that is doing something along the lines of InfluenceUs - lots to learn there, they are doing many things that are of interest. (Including a tip to use real names) ~~ MarkDilley
Category:PortlandTech is DONE DONE!!It is ready to be handed to the community. Celebrations here in the Lahore Content Team Room..\ , , /yay!Mehrunnisa
The "Welcome to AboutUs" ScreenCast improved a lot today! It feels "done" to me now. What do you think?
It looks good. We can use more of step by step video tutorials for the general public. Maybe create a video FAQ article. Igorberger 23:26, 24 January 2008 (PST)
Really Great, let's do more and put these up in places that are easy to find! Also, is there a way to "zoom in" when doing some things like editing? - Ray | talk
Wanted to share some thoughts on the initial launch of the PromoteMe service and recent and coming changes to that offering. Thoughts are more than welcome. - Ray | talk
I refactored PageRank a bit. It still needs work. It seems relevant to this "thoughts on" page. TedErnst (talk)
Good job, keep moving the ball and keep the game going. Igorberger

I would like to see editor reward points for non AboutUs employees. The more edits you do you will earn RewardPoints that you will be able to exchange for advertising curency on AboutUs. Igorberger
Good idea and if any regular editor would like to place an ad in advance of our having a system, just ask - Ray | talk
Collaboration between organizations and their clients is surely a win-win for both. Check out Community Reviews Section on SimpleSend.com page. Asad | *~talk~*
Joe Cohen recently initiated HelpIndex and as a result Help has changed quite a bit as well. All help filling holes and finding duplication invited! TedErnst (talk)
I found the HelpIndex very useful and concise. Igorberger
We are not in a business selling TextLinks which is illegal under Google Quality of Serve agreement, but we are selling Advertisment or Sponsorship. Igorberger 16:31, 23 January 2008 (PST)
Text Links are not "illegal" under any means, yes Google frowns upon text links for link building purposes; but, if used for traffic gaining purposes I think this could be a great moneymaking for AboutUs if we could only move up our Pagerank. --Simon | talk
Google may deindex the whole AboutUs if they find out we are actively selling links for Website owners to gain PageRank. We can charge a fee for evaluating a Website to be included as a Feature Article or as an Article Sponsor. We cannot sell links! You can ask Matt Cutts if you like. We can charge for building a page and mantaining it in the directory but not selling links. Look at Yahoo dierectory they charge to be included based on work they do to evaluate a site not selling links. Igorberger
My understanding, perhaps wrongly, was that it was valuing text ads place on our side bar.MarkDilley
A. They only bring you pagerank to 0, they don't delist you for selling links. B. If you sell links with nofollow or through some other system like Google Adsense its fine. --Simon | talk 19:35, 23 January 2008 (PST)
Selling advertising is not a problem and it is good for our business model, but let's treat it as advertising. Igorberger 19:54, 23 January 2008 (PST)
Maybe it is better to refer to them as ad links not text links this way we do not confuse the issue. Igorberger 19:56, 23 January 2008 (PST)
What's the difference between selling text links and ad links? Even Matt Cutts calls them text links and they are good as long as they don't pass pagerank [2]--Simon | talk 20:25, 23 January 2008 (PST)
Sounds good! Igorberger 21:32, 23 January 2008 (PST)
Check out our new search feature that lets you search those categories that don't exist but have articles in it e.g. search for Chacha and you would just go to Category:Chacha. Didn't you see that now the search term stays in the search input :-) Arif Iqbal
Arif, that's pretty cool. A couple of "gotchas" to point out for folks (these will be fixed at some point). One is that it doesn't work for categories with spaces in them. For example, Category:Dog Collar will not be found searching for "Dog Collar" because we actually store it as "Dog_Collar" so you won't get it unless you know to put the underscore there. Also, a search for "ultimate" won't find Category:Ultimate because of the different case. TedErnst (talk) 22:26, 23 January 2008 (PST)
