Welcome

Hello Bill Buckels... Welcome to AboutUs!

I noticed your edits to the wiki DomainPage for Release Early Release Often and I'm excited that you've chosen to explore the wonderful world of wiki here at AboutUs.org - the place where everyone may collaborate to build the commons and community through their constructive edits and participation. Welcome! I wonder if you might want to add a little bit about yourself on your personal page? (You can see mine as an example by clicking my name below.) Be sure to let us/me know if you have any questions along the way (you can leave a message on my talk page via the "talk" link by my name) or join the AboutUs WebIRC. Below are some links that I have found useful...

Welcome to the AboutUs community - it's great to have you!

Looks like I got your message a little late. Yes, it was CamelCased (this is what "think while you link" is code for) by TedErnst - while I'm not really sure why I'm certain he had the best intentions and he would be more than happy to chat about it I'm sure. He may have been standardizing the format of some of the WikiWay articles, but without asking I am just speculating. I haven't been in the office in a few days, but the "move" function isn't actually turned off as far as I know it is just discouraged as in some cases it has really been creating a mess for our development team who has been working on the whole issue. I'm sure he talked with the guys via the AboutUs Web IRC to make sure that move was okay by them. So basically I don't have many answers to your questions but I know we are all trying to AssumeGoodFaith and make AboutUs the best it can be according to each person's ideas... that's a convoluted way of suggesting that you talk to Ted and see what's up. Have a good night! KristinaWeis

moving pages

Hi Bill. Thanks for the note. There was not a problem with the page-move feature when I moved the page, and I did not receive an error message. User:Nathan let me know about the problem on IRC yesterday, but before that, I had no idea. Sorry that my action has contributed to a problem. I'm sure the dev guys will have it fixed up soon! peace, TedErnst | talk

Your Life History

Hi Bill, I really enjoyed reading your account of your life so far. It got me thinking about my own. I really should start writing my own story.

Now we know who you are perhaps you could help the people at AboutUs with their identity crisis. As you are new to this community, it would be great to see things from your eyes. If you have time, have a look at WhoWeAre. I'm sure everyone would appreciate anything you have to say about this subject. Tanwir Shah

Oh and PS Welcome to AboutUs
