A Weblog (also known as a blog) is an interactive website providing for commentary, news, personal diary and other information presented in a chronological (or reverse chronological) order. A common way for interaction between the writer (blogger) and the readers is the ability of blogs to provide reader comments on weblog posts. They often include text, images and links to other web pages, related media or other weblogs. Weblogging software is often characterized by the ability for users to easily create great looking weblogs without needing to learn complex markup code.

People who write blogs are often known as "Bloggers" (which is a differentiation from the blogging service/site Blogger.com.
