- This entire site was born out of frustration. The unfortunate consumer knows all too well the story, you get excited about a new product, you buy it, and the honeymoon is quickly ruined when you discover a problem (or in my case, many problems). We made attempts at remedying the situation directly with Apple, that didn’t work out so well and we were more or less given the same cold shoulder and inappropriate response. So where does one turn next? The internet! We quickly discovered we weren’t alone with our complaints (excessive heat, dead pixels, fans mooing, cpu whining, etc, etc), discussion boards and websites were fuming with the exact same problems. We then realized there wasn’t a central location for problems and defects, and thus AppleDefects.com was born.
