Creating new site pages

Unfortunately, we don't yet have the ability to create subdomains on the fly :-( They can be manually added, but the thumbnail won't work. Sorry, we're going to try to get this done. --User:Ray King | talk 12:05, 9 August 2006 (PDT)

Recent Changes and Featured Site Nomination

Tretter, thanks for the recent additions to the KristelTretter.ca page. I'm seeing from your user page that you're working on everything in Category:Tretter. Fabulous. I'm going to assume these are all family members or relations, you might think about creating some sort of navigation system or template that allows people reading one page to quickly see there's related pages. Take a look at CNET.com and MP3.com for an example of how it works on a company level. I'm also noticing you've nominated KristelTretter.ca to be a Featured page. I think it looks great and will add to the queue. Shame we don't have the ability to play her music right off the website (check back soon, it's something we're working on). If you feel like it though, could you put links to the music in the article? -- Tak

Hi!! I *love* your portal idea and am going to pass it along to folks I know. In the mean time, I think I may have stepped on your toes, so I am going to hold back re: page naming, my inclination was to give states the capital MI, NM, etc. looks to not be your inclination... so let's talk and decide. Hi! that is what I meant, capitalized letters. I just wanted to make sure, because you were doing them differently, examples: here and here (and this is where I realized I was possibly stepping on toes). Also, forgive me - I didn't realize that Tretter would be on your drivers license as your name. :-) Best, MarkDilley

p.s. I have invited some MI green folks to look at this project, one mentioned that Elaine Brown (is that right?) is now a Green Party candidate. Do you know if she has a domain?

Hi,

I would just like to tell you about the WhoWeAre consensus poll. This is a unique opportunity for all community members to discuss and decide what AboutUs is and more importantly what role we, the community, plays.

The discussion is still in its initial stages and there are a handful of people involved in this discussion. But it's not enough. Every one of us has a stake in this process. We all need to air our views. Our opinions will make a difference. We cannot and must not let a handful of people define us. We must speak out and contribute because we are being defined and I for one would like to have a say in how I am being defined.

Please contribute to this really important project. Without you it cannot successfully create a good definition of who we are. Tanwir Shah
