Add Reviews

Hello, If you'd like to add a review about a particular website, please do so in a descriptive manner that is helpful to our readers, (i.e. not just writing "they're spammers"). Please check out CommunityReviewsFormatting for more information on how to add a review section. You can see how I fixed up your review here. Best, Nathan (talk) / 18:54, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

CommunityReviewsFormatting

I appreciate your contributions to the site, both reviews and your PersonalPage. May I suggest that you take a peak at CommunityReviewsFormatting? It would be great to see your reviews under the community reviews section (it often needs to be added under additional information) and signed with your user name and date (which you can do by leaving four tildas ~). Check out that page I linked and let me know if you have any questions. Have a great day of wiki editing! KristinaWeis | **talk** 15:52, 21 May 2007 (PDT)

I have no doubt that it is a fraudulent site, my main point is that it's nice to see some sort of a tag as to who wrote it. On other pages there can be issues of people making false claims (which I DO NOT think you are doing) but having a signature really helps to build a sense of community so others have a fuzzy feeling that a real person wrote the comment. It is mostly a preference on my part - I find it helpful to see a slight separation and this way if the site owner were to come back and delete your posts we have a loose policy on maintaining all sides of the issue in community reviews whereas the other sections give way to other edits and so long as the change is constructive it remains. The community reviews section is I guess a way of preserving your comments in a visible manner, if that makes sense. This is really hard to explain, but also not a big deal. I'm not aware of a specific tag, but I'm asking around and I will get back to you if/when we find it. I guess the main thing I love to see is a tag of who wrote something because so many review-like posts can be a total waste of misspelled accusations by IP addresses - so from a reader's standpoint a post with a signature comes across much more credible and helps others to AssumeGoodFaith, which I completely do of you. Let me know what you think.

Hello, I just wanted to pop in and say hello to show you something that I'm excited about. It's a brand new tour for learning about wiki and AboutUs.org with more advanced tour tracks in the works at WikiAnatomy. You can check it out at TheWikiWay:WhatIsWiki. Have a great day and let me know if I can help with anything.
