- Aside from doing my damndest to help rather than harm, I enjoy gorilla suits in coffee shops, yukio mishima -- especially the lovely sad tetralogy, paul bowles if only for his dowdy mannerisms, buckaroo banzai of course as it represents the pinnacle along with the burmese harp of filmic art, the sea when it scares me which is when it exists crashing and deep in front of me, most of all julio cortazar's hopscotch, yes, even more than nick cave’s work of genius and even more than bulgakov’s madness, my son justice brilliant as the two of us are twin planets orbiting, my friends and family few but proud , my work as it is fluid, creative and never demanding of me more than I demand of it (not to talk in circles but only to tell a truth), root beer, yes more of a vice, some of the better situationist outpourings like raoul v's and the great overdubbed films (but dear god not debord who couldn't cope with having held empty ideas in a world full of men more sound), but I'll trade them for the genius of Bucky Fuller and Nikola Tesla and the righteous path of Eugene Debs, Sly (sigh) Stone aka Sylvester Stewart not only because he coined the phrase 'different strokes for different folks' which is such a thick concept if you spend time with it, design and art that thrills me which is very little but enough to clutter my home -- you know the concept of the 'thrill' is rarely mentioned so I will mention it now -- when was the last time you were truly thrilled by a work of art, not impressed, not blown away by technical merits, but thrilled like a child seeing her first hot air balloon? That's what I'm talking about and that's what I like.
