- This Blog belongs to Shaden Abdul-Rahman, at least according to official documents. My real last name however, is Abu Al-Haijaa, who were the inhabitants of the village of Ayn Hawd. In 1948 they were expelled by Israeli forces and ended up in refugee camps in the West bank and Jordan. Some of us managed to stay in the hills above Ayn Hawd which is now called the New Ayn Hawd, an unrecognized village to which governmental services such as water and electricity are not provided.
