This site does not in any way represent the views of our Internet Service Provider. This page has no connection, even an ideological one, to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. The authors of this site however do believe in the right to self determination of the Tamil people in Sri Lanka. We are not, nor ever were members of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. This page does not secure funds for the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, nor is it funded by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. This site does not advocate the use of illegal violence for a political cause. This site exists only as comprehensive informational database.

tamiltigers.net was a concept that we came up with in February 1997. The World Wide Web was still in its infancy and there were only a couple of student run websites explaining the struggle of the Tamil people in Sri Lanka. This was also a time when there were absolutely no Pro-Sinhala websites including most Sri Lankan government websites.
