Music and the Margins
(( revolving radio )) is a 24/7 streaming internet radio station started in January 2001 by justsomegirl. The music reflects her tastes and beliefs which include an appreciaton for the margins, a desire to raise awareness, a committment to community, and a belief in the consciousness-raising power of music.
Each playlist contains 18-24 hours of music so listeners can enjoy hours of music without hearing repititions. We also play more songs off each album, not just the “hit single” overplayed elsewhere.
The current song’s title, artist and album is displayed on the web site (click Refresh to load the current song) and with several of the MP3 players. Listeners who use Player365 can send feedback by voting for the songs they like and dislike. This information is then used to shape future playlists.
