- My name’s Bret B., I’m the twentysomething dude behind Post-Punk Junk, and I’ve hosted a weekly four-hour rock show on KXLU 88.9fm Los Angeles since 1998. My goal with PPJ is, with each post, to provide rare tracks by bands from the original post-punk period (largely considered to be ‘78-’84), as well as offering up selections from newer bands that follow in the post-punk tradition. Hopefully with this juxtaposing, younger rock fans will take note of older bands that’ve influenced the newer groups they like now, and older rock fans will dispel the myth that nothing new these days is any good.
