NeoNewSnow.com is Abercrombie after becoming infuriated
NeoNewsNow was started in year 2003 by, once staff member of the Neopets site Neohero.com (now Nphero.com), Abercrombie after becoming infuriated with how NeoHero was being run. Joined with several other users, and with help from neopian_master12399 (a.k.a. sk89q), NeoNewsNow became a large and popular Neopets fansite as one of the top online locations for up to date Neopets news. During this period of time, in addition to the news it provided, it became home to the first database of Neopets Trading Card Game before even release, a growing portal for Battledome news, and a large forum community.
After nearly a year of operation, neopian_master12399 decided to leave, and within a few weeks, coincidentally NeoNewsNow was being shut down. For the last few days before the whole site was disabled, chaos reigned on the forums. Eventually the site itself was disabled, and a small battle ensued with neopian_master12399 for Abercrombie when neopian_master12399 tried successfully for a small time to advertise the opening of KeiichiAnimeForever.com.
Abercrombie, wanting to keep the site alive, gave/sold the domain to another user, Doug. This new site flourished for a bit until the domain was stolen from Doug by the individual with financial control to the domain. The site was spammed with advertisements in order to capitalize on the declining—but still existing—popularity of the website.
It is unlikely that NeoNewsNow will change anytime soon, though the copyright and material to much of the original NeoNewsNow content and images is still owned and possessed by neopian_master12399 (sk89q).
