Mountaintop Lodge is a family owned Bed and Breakfast Inn, recently remodeled, continuing a tradition of hospitality for two generations. Lavish yourself in the intimacy of a Bed and Breakfast with many of the amenities of a luxurious Country Inn. Travelers who are seeking a private, anti-social experience not customary in many B&Bs, will be pleasantly surprised. This stately 12,000 square foot Inn provides enough space for all guests to find plenty of privacy. If you enjoy a more social atmosphere you can always find someone to join you in a game of Backgammon or Chess in the Lobby.
Unlike many small properties, The Lodge has a wide variety of recreational amenities close at hand. All our guests have access to the great recreational facilities offered at two private clubs bordering our property. One Club offers lake front dining, boating, beaches, and a fitness center, while the other offers golf, outdoor pool, tennis, snowmobiling, and ice skating.
Built in 1928, the Lodge sits on beautiful woodlands in the heart of the mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania. You may choose to relax, spend a lazy afternoon on our grand porch, or read a book next to the huge stone fireplace in the Great Room. Each guest room is appointed with a thick luxurious mattress accented by a down comforter and guests enjoy the convenience of a private bath. Your morning begins with a gourmet country breakfast served on private tables in the Great Room.
