Why the name 'Metroboards'?: The name Metroboards, originally comes from the founder/creator of this website -- (MetroSports82), or commonly known as "Metro".
Why was Metroboards.com Started?: From MetroSports82: When I had first started Metroboards -- back on November of '02, I had no idea what I was going to be in for...It was about roughly 10:30AM that morning - (Thursday, November 7th, 2002), and I had just about given up my last straws on another website, that I used to be apart of -- (a member on a community that I called home, for close to 3 years). Apparently, there had been a major software changeover -- which I had been strongly against, and it was about 3 weeks into the new design/layout -- that I just could not take enough of it, and soon there after, did I decide it was in my best interest to leave the site for good.....which is really how my whole career had started, in the internet world -- and the reason why Metroboards.com had been started.
How was Metroboards.com Started?: From MetroSports82: Likewise to the ^^ above -- when I had started the very first Metroboards, it was hosted on a free hosted server...(which wasn't what you'd call a great hosting server, either...)...unfortunately, that server/site had it's problems, and was even taken off-line for a few weeks, due to an overload in bandwidth -- which wasn't coming free. That site still exists today -- (click: here), but it's currently closed to the public, for abvious reasons...We're no longer under the free plan (as you can tell), and have been running under our own site domain, since.
