JUNK was born during a bad summer job in 2003. Stuck in the heartland with spotty mail service, a co-worker’s Stuff and Maxim issues were the only reading material laying around for perusal during quiet shifts. All the booty shorts and wet t-shirts initially aroused an almost political indignation—why do men’s entertainment magazines have good writing and nearly naked celebrities when women’s magazines have, let’s face it, neither?
