In this week’s edition of “Sunday Ad Wars“, Sony makes up for last weeks no-show with a PS3 front page spread in the Best Buy ad. Toshiba counters with the last weekend of it’s $100.00 instant rebate for all models in their HD DVD lineup. We do find the Circuit City ad interesting, as HD DVD and Blu-ray are on opposite pages. The first shows the BDP-S1 for $799.00 plus a lot of $29.99 priced BD movies, while the other shows the HD-A2 for $299.99 with a group of $24.99 HD DVD movies. For the normal consumer just browsing the Sunday paper, that ad doesn’t make Blu-ray look very appealing when it comes to prices.
