- I'm 39 years old from smack-dab in the middle of the USA, a place we call The Heartland. Raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I got out of high school (actually did graduate) and was determined to get a college education. But I was so sick of school I wanted to finish college before I even started, so I decided upon a quicker route. I got a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology. This was a four-year program crammed into three years and it was very intense. There were only a total of 7 weeks per year during which we were not in class. I didn't have much time to do anything except work and study.
