Welcome

Hello Di! Welcome to AboutUs.

Great work on Vibra-Train.com - you apparently know your way around wiki. I'm excited that you've chosen to explore the wonderful world of wiki here at AboutUs.org - the place where everyone may collaborate to build the commons and community through their constructive edits and participation. Welcome! Be sure to let us/me know if you have any questions along the way (you can leave a message on my talk page via the talk link by my name, join the AboutUs WebIRC here, or check the "currently online" section on the homepage for someone knowledgeable and send them a message on their talk page). I wonder if you might want to add a little information about yourself on your personal page? (Check out PersonalPages for guidance or click my name below as an example.) Please don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like some assistance in accomplishing your goals on AboutUs and if you fancy some help or new ideas I've found the help page to be a nice resource. Welcome to the AboutUs community - it's great to have you!

Have a most wonderful day!

Oh, you could have fooled me with your mad editing skills on Vibra-Train.com. Yeah, I actually "know" Lloyd Shaw from working on AboutUs.org. Have a good one - let me know if I can help you with anything.

Vibra-Train.com

I will explain what I did: I protected the e-mail address from spambots and harvesters. That's what the <email> tag does, and that's common practise here at AboutUs. Do you really want spambots to start harvesting that address and spamming it? I would really appreciate it if you'd look at my edit summaries as they usually explain exactly what I did. I don't want to get into an edit-war with you, but it's really best to obfuscate the e-mail address as I did, rather than let spambots and harvesters spam it. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. The last thing I want is to destroy anyone else's work. Thanks, Nathan (talk) / 01:07, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

It's fine to have e-mail addresses that are hidden in graphics (as we do with ProtectEmail). It's when they're not hidden that they can be harvested. That opinion varies from site-owner to site-owner, some prefer "contact us" webpages (that list no address) instead (such as myself). Nathan (talk) / 01:20, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
There's also an easy way to sign your comments on talk pages. The wiki stuff is pretty easy when you get used to it. Nathan (talk) / 01:39, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Non-breaking space

Your guess on my local timezone is pretty accurate. Here's what to add for a non-breaking space: &nbsp; I did it for you here. Nathan (talk) / 00:12, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Internal linking

Yes, I see all. ;) This might help a little. Nathan (talk) / 01:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Nice work on your PersonalPage!

Ah, Auckland - how nice. I love the [1] Flight of the Concords who are from NZ - do you happen to know of them? I love that you said you're the tortoise - I am too, or maybe a sloth :)

Let me know if I can help with anything.

Hi :-)

I am not sure the humor in EdgeCC.co.nz :-) Help!? MarkDilley

-) You Kiwi! :-) I added a category to your PersonalPage. Please revert if you want! ;-) Best, MarkDilley

TempTalkPage

The weather here is horrible and rainy :(

Good work, though you only have to mark {{TempTalkPage}} on an IP's talk page once (not every time you leave a message) and it goes at the beginning of the talk page. This marks the talk page as temporary (IP addresses do change) so the admins can delete it after a while. Nathan (talk) / 16:16, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Storyteller's Bazaar

Hello Di,

Have you paid a visit to TheStorytellersBazaar yet? If not, please do. It's jam packed with all sorts of writing activities. Read some of the contributions and hopefully they will inspire you to contribute too. The more you contribute the better the site will become. Come and have a look and enjoy. Tanwir Shah

Hi Di, I wanted to connect with you because I don't think we resolved the issue. Best, MarkDilley

Help with Big Decision ... AboutUsLogo!

Hi Again Di, the AboutUsLogo consensus process is continuing to progress. I've left you a comment at AboutUsLogo:Status/Di that I'd love to get your thoughts on. Regards, Brandon

No, it wasn't about what you added, most of the comments were about different sites and not AboutUs. --Simon | talk 19:40, 6 July 2007 (PDT)

Featured WikiPage and a few notes

Hi Di,

Just wanted to let you know we picked Vibra-Train.com as the Featured page for today. Thanks for all the great work on it. I made a few formatting changes to the page trying to unify the formatting earlier today. Take a look and if you don't like it, just change it back. I also wanted to note that in the "Featured Blurb" I did mention your username because I wanted to highlight your great contributions and I thought what you said about Vibra-Train.com made a great testimonial (in fact, you might think of adding it to that page as a "Testimonial" or "Community Review"). I just wanted to make sure you knew this.

Again, thanks for all the great work on AboutUs.

Ahora Tours

Hi Di- Thanks for the note. I can change it to ArohaTours if you think that works better. Let me now! Thanks, Isabel 08:27, 12 July 2007 (PDT)

Power Plate

I'm not certain I fully understand your question, but I went ahead and added Category:Power Plate to Vibra-Train.com, you should see the category as a red link at the bottom of Vibra and if you visit the category page you will see Vibra listed alphabetically below. I hope this is what you were looking for. How have you been? KristinaWeis 14:27, 12 July 2007 (PDT)

Hello Di, I just noticed your message to MarkDilley. As a logged-in user you can actually do this using the "move" tab at the top of the page. For directions on this see Help:How do I fix the capitalization of an article?. Yes, some functions are sysop only (but not many) - there's a great list of the things that you can do as a "regular" logged-in user vs. anonymous at Why create an account?. KristinaWeis

Thanks Di, i got the pic donwloaded, but it is preatty large! Veronika
