A City Manager is appointed by the Council. The Mayor and Council also serve as Commissioners of the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). The CRA usually meets at 4:30 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.
The Council meets in the Council Chamber of City Hall at 6:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month. Workshop meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday at 1:00 p.m.
T he City of Boca Raton encompasses approximately twenty seven square miles with an unincorporated area of approximately seventy square miles, extending about seven miles north to south, and bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean with approximately five miles of beachfront. The city population is approximately 85,000 with the unincorporated area population approximately 110,000.
