Detroit, Michigan (PRWEB release) September 5, 2008 -- With the geographic migration of many automotive operations from their traditional base in the Midwest to warmer climates, maintaining long-term growth requires devising a strategy to service these southern transplants. After 18 months of planning, Ferrous Processing & Trading (FPT) has done just that. Detroit, Michigan, July 17, 2008 (Soave Enterprises) - Dance music from the ‘70s and ‘80s, country rock, Latin sounds, and reggae will drift through the community of Brambleton when the Summer Concert Series comes to the Town Center. Performances are scheduled several Thursday evenings a month, beginning in June.  A residential and retail development founded by Anthony Soave of Soave Enterprises, Brambleton is located in southeastern Loudon, Virginia.

"Ferrous Processing is proud to establish a new business platform in the southeast region," announced Howard Sherman, FPT's CEO and President. "Account Executive Bill Sulak's full-time responsibilities have been transferred to oversee Nissan and related accounts in Tennessee."

Sponsored by the Brambleton Town Center Associates, the concerts are open to the public at no charge. “Residents can enjoy dinner out at one of Town Center’s vibrant new eateries, and then bring a chair or blanket to the Town Center plaza and join the fun from 7 to 9 p.m.,” said Kim Adams, Brambleton's Director of Marketing.
+
Nissan operates three plants in the southeastern U.S. region: stamping and assembly plants in Smyrna, Tennessee and Canton, Mississippi, and a powertrain facility in Decherd, Tennessee.

The fun kicks off June 19 with Rebelicious, featuring classic rock and country; July 3, Trio Caliente, performing Latin, rumba and jazz; July 17, Doug Segree presenting soft rock; August 7, Jah Works performing reggae; and August 21, Gonzo's Nose, featuring ‘80s and ‘90s music.

"Our expertise and track record with the 'Big Three' give us credibility with other automakers in need of scrap metal services," explains Sherman. "Instead of having to accept less experienced, locally-based vendors, FPT will offer facilities throughout the region the industry's best practices." FPT's Executive VP of Operations Tony Benacquisto noted, "This is a great foothold on which to build our growth in the southeastern U.S. scrap markets. We're looking to pick up more business from Nissan's stamping suppliers in the region; plus add operations and processing capacity in Tennessee and Alabama."
With an appealing mixture of nationally known chains and locally-owned boutiques, Brambleton's Town Center continues to add top-notch retailers and eateries to its 500,000-square-foot shopping district. This past spring brought openings of home design and accents merchant, The Nest Egg, and Edibles Incredible Desserts, a bakery and specialty sweet shop. Additionally, a new Builders' Showcase & Welcome Center opened its doors in June. The shopping district is home to a variety of daily convenience stores and restaurants, with plans for continued growth.

Anthony Soave’s vision for Brambleton was to build a community of tight knit neighbors and shopping close to home.  This and other activities helped recently boost Soave Enterprises to number 251 on Forbes' largest privately held companies list.

Scrap metal prices reached a historical, all-time high in April. "Strong markets are expected continue into the second quarter of 2008," reported Rob Bakotich, VP of Sales and Marketing for FPT. "By adding this new platform to our previously established Florida and Midwest operations, we will be able to better serve our mid-south mill customers during a key period."

Soave Enterprises Affiliate Reaches into Southeastern Market

Ferrous Processing & Trading (FPT) of Soave Enterprises devises strategy to service migrating automotive operations in the South.

Melih Oztalay's Comments on Soave.com

 • Melih Oztalay (delighted) : I found the Metal Recycling very interesting and brings Soave Enterprises in line with the environment to be a "green" company. This excerpt from their website on this section of the business was interesting to read. Soave Enterprises entered the metals recycling business in 1997 with its investment in Ferrous Processing and Trading. Today, through organic growth and acquisition, Ferrous Processing and Trading is the fifth largest metals recycler in the industry. From what I can tell this is the brain child of Tony Soave and their website is at www.soave.com
