About CiteHealth

CiteHealth is a leading source for reports and information on United States health care providers. They currently provide free detailed reports on dialysis centers, drug & alcohol rehab centers, home care agencies, and details on every community (state, county, city, zip code) in the U.S. The information contained on each health provider comes from dozens of separate government and commercial sources along with information directly from the user base. In addition to providing information and reports, users are encouraged to join the community, share opinions, post about their experiences, and discuss important health issues. As each person contributes their own distinct knowledge and insights it adds to pool of information we all share. Other features include an unmatched provider search engine, rss feeds, several Google integration tools, and more.

Goals & History

Our primary goal is to give everyone free access to quality health care provider information while establishing community. The idea is simple but when examining the current landscape of websites in this arena you will find:

1. Sites giving a small amount of information and then wanting to charge for the rest
2. Sites giving the basic information away but putting up hurdles to getting it (in addition to not providing insight but just the raw data)
3. Sites that give very little information that could be considered "spammy"

Observing the landscape as such, we felt the need to fill the "void" and correct as many of these issues as we could. We feel strongly that giving everyone access to this information benefits the greatest number of people as possible, including us as a company.

The concept for the new venture was conceived in late 2005. After acquiring the needed funding to pursue the idea, development began in the middle of 2007. CiteHealth is owned and operated by Open Data Systems, Inc. The company is based in Brighton, Colorado.
