About CiteHealth
Goals & History
Our primary goal is to give everyone free access to quality health care provider information while establishing community. The idea is simple but when examining the current landscape of websites in this arena you will find:
- Sites giving a small amount of information and then wanting to charge for the rest
- Sites giving the basic information away but putting up hurdles to getting it (in addition to not providing insight but just the raw data)
- Sites that give very little information that could be considered "spammy"
Observing the landscape as such, we felt the need to fill the "void" and correct as many of these issues as we could. We feel strongly that giving everyone access to this information benefits the greatest number of people as possible, including us as a company.
The concept for the new venture was conceived in late 2005. After acquiring the needed funding to pursue the idea, development began in the middle of 2007. CiteHealth is owned and operated by Open Data Systems, Inc. The company is based in Brighton, Colorado.
