A Weblog (also known as a blog) can mean a number of things:
- A weblog is an interactive website providing for commentary, news, personal diary and other information presented in a chronological (or reverse chronological) order. A common way for interaction between the writer (blogger) and the readers is the ability of blogs to provide reader comments on weblog posts. They often include text, images and links to other web pages, related media or other weblogs.
- People who write blogs are often known as "Bloggers" (which is a differentation from the blogging service/site Blogger.com.
- Forums for blogging include:
- Blogger.com, a service owned by Google that allows users to easily create their own weblogs on the Blogger website.
- WordPress.com is another website hosting personal blogs, using the freely available WordPress software which can be downloaded from WordPress.org (note that the ".com" is for hosting of blogs, the ".org" is for downloading the software to host your own blog.
