WirtzSucks.com was first conceived as a cheap way to sell t-shirts to frustrated Blackhawk fans. After all, I thought, with a URL like "WirtzSucks" - people would flock to the idea of buying up t-shirts or hats or bumper stickers or anything with the URL and logo. I envisioned going to the United Center on game day and seeing droves of people sporting the clothing line - while at the same time, of course, lining my pockets with some easy cash.
This site is not a money maker. Far from it. It's really nothing more than a meeting place for Blackhawk fans to come together and speak their minds, catch up on the latest news, find the often asked for "Detroit Sucks!" commercial featuring Jeremy Piven and to obtain salary information on NHL players. It's also a place where some great friendships have been formed as well as marriage! Sure, it's an ego boost. But trust me, it's much more.
