SUGAR LAND, TX - Hi, I’m Greg Jeffers, and I will be one of VBD’s correspondents for Nationals in the Individual Events. I’m a debater at Dulles High School, where I’ve competed in outrounds at such tournaments as the Grapevine Classic and the Houston-Memorial Endgame Tournament. I’ve also competed at TFA State and am now one of two LD captains at my school. I am absolutely thrilled to be one of VBD’s correspondents at Nationals this year.
I’m really excited about this because I get to have a part in the greatest and most fun tournament of the year. Being a correspondent also allows me the wonderful opportunity to understand what Jon goes through every tournament to get the news out to all of us. I am also thrilled to be a part of this because I believe that by reporting the tournament to the community of debaters we are strengthening the bonds of the community and allowing those not there at the tournament the oppurtunity to experience the tournament first hand through VBD. I know that I’ve always been glad for VBD’s coverage when I’m not at a tournament, and I’m glad that I can help provide, for others, that much wanted coverage.
GRAPEVINE/COLLEYVILLE, TX - This year’s Nationals coverage will be unprecedented in its scope. Throughout the week I will be assisted by a number of correspondents — both coaches and current students — in VBD’s coverage of the nation’s largest championship tournament. Indeed, we will have correspondents at each of the sites, allowing for up-to-the-minute coverage of every single event. The coverage will span across all three primary sites in the Victory Briefs network. For the latest in Lincoln-Douglas debate, policy debate, Public Forum Debate, and Student Congress, log on right here to VBD. To find out the latest in the Individual Events, you’ll be checking out Saturday6AM. For culture, commentary, and the wonderfully miscellaneous, The Vibe will be your destination. These three sites will be operating in conjunction to form seamless coverage.
