Random Thoughts
Searching
I've done a few extensions, but I've never really looked at how the main search box functions. I've always wondered why media wiki has such trouble searching. For example: searching for 'wildginger' returns what you'd expect, but if you search for 'wild ginger' ... you don't get what you want.
Categories
- Not sure if AboutUs is using category Classification, but is sure seems like it could help out with the mounting category issues.
Patrolling
- If a "patroller" logs in, it might be nice to show them as "logged in" on the RecentChanges patrol page. An extension for sure, but we might be able to get away with just sysop's that are logged in - that might be easier. Or a new group called "patroller" could be created that essentially is a sysop. Not sure, but it would be interesting to see if this kind of extension would be possible/useful.
