My name is Jennifer Parisi, I am currently a graduate student in the M.A. Media Studies program at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec. My research interests include community media, surveillance, privacy, and technology. I am in the process of writing my thesis, which looks at three cases of anti-surveillance activism in Canada, the U.S. and internationally. For more on my research, see my blog. I am also creating a radio documentary based on the interviews conducted for my thesis, which will be complete in April 2008.

I love running and cycling there and back again. I am currently learning yoga (more difficult than you think!), and have been a vegetarian for 17 years, the last two of those as a vegan. I am a master birthday card maker, revered in my family for my inventive card making skills.
