  • Background: I am a writer and bodyworker with training and experience in law, environmental policy and public health. My most important job, though, was raising three children, who are now wonderful young adults.
  • My (general) work: Currently, I work as an integrative medicine specialist working with body, mind, spirit and emotions. I have a home-based practice/business but mostly work for a large hospital system in an Integrative Medicine program alongside doctors, acupuncturists, therapists, herbalists, and others. [1]
  • My Major Current Project: I am writing abook about human nature and how we can begin to solve our global crises by understanding the human race and its connection with other species. The title of the book is Divine Primates: Hope for Our Stressed-Out Species. My book is down to earth and offers suggestions for more productive ways to think about the human species. But, more importantly, it is passionate about the human race and encourages us to take far better care of ourselves that we do in our overstressed, frenzied mass culture. When we are less stressed and obsessed with consumerism and ideologies, we will each be more likely to make more productive, sustainable decisions. divineprimates.com
  • My Second Major Current Project: I am also senior advisor to Living Earth Television (LETV), a nonprofit that is seeking funding to launch what will eventually be a Global Public Television network. LETV letv.org This project begins with a documentary film series comprised of films made locally by Chinese film makers about China and its people. The films are non-controversial and aimed at educating people about their neighbors around the world. After China, we are proposing a film series comprised of films made by African film makers about Africa. These films will be translated and prepared for broadcast on public television stations, etc. This "reversioning" is far less expensive than creating new films, but still requires funding to launch this exciting concept in global community.
