AboutMe
The first thing most people ask me is, “How did you decide to become a hypnotist?” There are so many answers to that question, but the most direct one is that I was destined to meet that calling; it just took a few years to get there.
In the early days of my working life I pursued my college studies of social work. Marketing and sales then became my focus, as I chose the challenge of moving up the corporate ladder. I eventually became the Executive Director for one of Choice Hotels’ Franchisee Associations. The corporate world was exciting for a time. That however, eventually lead to that “been there, done that” feeling, still searching for what felt right for me.
I did know one thing; I had a very deep intuitive, spiritual direction that guided my life. Other people were drawn to that side of me as well. On a very extraordinary level, both emotionally and physically, I feel other peoples’ emotional and physical needs. I even have this sense with animals. All of nature is a powerful life force for me.
This super sensitivity is called being an intuitive empath. This (gift) causes both joy and pain in my life. Dr. Judith Orloff has a wonderful book (Positive Energy, [http.//www.judithorloff.com]) about this type of insight. Her research and knowledge opened up a new world for me.
None of the above is really very important. The important message in ‘about Anita’ is YOU. YOU are why I am here today, a hypnotist. Your stress, your struggles, your joys and your successes are what I understand and what I want to assist you with. I want to help you “tune in” to your own intuition, find your balance, and be your best.
Although I knew intuitively I was a healer, I also knew I needed to be educated in the field of alternative wellness options. I received my hypnosis training at North Shore Hypnosis in Northport, Long Island, one of the best certification courses in the country. After receiving certification, I completed my Clinical Practicum at Farmingdale University.
Since that time I continue to study with some of the best and brightest in the healing community. The National Guild has educational requirements that must be met on a yearly basis in order to maintain certification. The coming year, as in all the years before, will be another year of new goals and new areas of expertise for me. And I look forward to sharing them with you!
I am a member and follow the standards of the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH). I serve as Vice-President of the Westchester Chapter of the NGH. I am also a member of the National Federation of NLP (NFNLP) and the International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association (IMDHA), all professional organizations dedicated to maintaining the highest possible standards in the field of alternative healing and hypnotism.
