Welcome to Local 373R's Web Site. Local 373R is one of the oldest Retail Clerk Unions in the San Francisco Bay area. We are chartered by the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union, & CLC, and serve retail workers in Napa and Solano Counties of Northern California. Our Union has approximately 2000 members and our Union business office is located at 410 Nebraska St. in Vallejo, California.
I'm sure that, as Union members, most of you are aware of the most obvious reasons for belonging to a Union -- higher pay, better benefits, great pension plan -- but have you ever thought about some of the less obvious aspects of membership in UFCW Local 373R?
For instance, if you have never been in trouble on the job, you may not have given much thought to the grievance procedure and how it offers you great job protection -- by giving you an advocate who will speak on your behalf at a Board of Adjustment (your "day in court", so to speak) or to help resolve conflicts related to your job or job performance before it gets to the point.
