- so, this has been a fairly exciting couple of days as far as the job goes. a coworker/friend has been working on some projects outside of work hours that’s right along the lines of what i spend most of my time at the office doing: process improvement. he pitched an idea to me that i absolutely love, and so we’re fairly sure we’re going to be switching from our current setup to one that is much simpler (and better). it’ll take quite a bit of work to migrate everything over to a new system (still preserving all of our old data), but it’ll be easily worth it in the end. today, i was informed that they’re giving me space on my company’s new $4m blade server to use for the next evolution of our in-house systems. very exciting news for the geek in me. =)
