theconsumerBridge.com was established as a "one stop shop" for Internet users. We wanted to provide a savings portal for the educated business owner and consumer. The ultimate goal was to be able to offer customers a wide variety of selections and choices from professional companies that provide everyday services....at a DISCOUNT. We started theconsumerBridge.com out of frustration.
Back in June 2001, AOL sent us a large Internet usage bill for $75. At the time, we were a member of AOL for over six years, faithfully paying the ever increasing rates that still never end. We called the company to question the bill and was told that we had "additional costs" during the month. AOL's customer service did not have the details and could not explain what they were. Customer Service then told us we would get a fax of the detail. We told AOL if they did not credit our account for these unexplained charges, we would take our six years of faithfull service elsewhere. Customer service responded, "go ahead."
