TechJamaica.com (www.TechJamaica.com) is an online resource of information, news, events and online discussion forums focusing on technology in the Jamaican environment. Anything technologically related and Jamaican will be found on TechJamaica.com. Technology in this context is not confined to Information and Communication Technology (computers, software, networks, etc.), but also include mobile phones, consumer electronics, gaming consoles and similar products and accessories.
Launched in June 2002, TechJamaica.com was developed with the objective of increasing the technological awareness of Jamaicans and to bring together the community of Jamaicans who are interested in technology. We have since attracted tech-enthusiats from all over the world and we have been voted the #3 Jamaican website for 2004 in Top5Jamaica's 5th Annual Surfer's Choice Award.
It is well known that there are numerous Websites dedicated to technology, but what gives TechJamaica.com its uniqueness is that our site caters primarily to Jamaicans. We believe that with the wealth of experience held by our principals and resource persons, we will be in a position to offer quality information and support to our visitors and, because we are Jamaican based, we can take the local environment and culture into consideration. The hub of activity at TechJamaica.com is in the technology discussion forums. In these forums, you have access to discussion postings in one of several discussion boards under several categories (hardware, software, games, general, etc.). You may choose to register and become a member at no charge which will greatly enhance your online discussion experience.
