Description
What else is there to know about a guy like me? I was born and raised in California, living out most of my childhood in the great city of Redding. I attended a charter school for the latter two years of my high school career that was based around technology, where I really shined. Being the geek that I was, I flourished and used school as an outlet for the uh, technologically-oriented side of myself. I learned as much as I could about web design, electronics, programming, you name it during high school, got suspended for hacking twice (turned myself in both times - long story) and still managed to graduate.
I have worked a few freelance website design/development jobs, as well as a full time position at a local Internet Service Provider as their resident webmaster. I am always looking for a job, so if you are interested, you can shoot an email to me[at]stilldavid.com I am fluent in D/X/HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, ColdFusion, and have a grasp of Perl, Python, and Java. I can design MySQL, MSSQL, and Access relational databases, and am proficient with the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop and Premiere, Macromedia Studio, and Microsoft Office on both the Windows©®™ and Macintosh (OSX) operating systems, and enjoy playing on different flavors of Linux, usually Mandrake or SuSe. If you have a specialized project that you don't think I can do, try me; even so, I love a good learning curve!
I suppose since my 18th birthday I am no longer considered a kid anymore, so what am I up to now? I am currently a student at California State University at Chico, where I am also employed a few hours a week at the on campus graphic design studio, you guessed it, designing web pages. My major is mechatronic engineering, which is a combination of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering, and I am thinking of doing a minor in computer science. (read: 5 year plan) In my free time I love to snowboard, listen to my iPod, and drive any car I can get a hold of after mine got stolen.
