Description
Established in March 1989, SOFITA is the first full service private translation agency in Bulgaria. Its owner-manager, Mr. Nikolai LAZAROV, is a member of the Bulgarian Translators’ Union and former manager of its Translations Bureau. Both Mr. Lazarov and the Managing Director, Mrs. Ramona STOYANOVA, have an experience of over 18 years in organising international events and providing simultaneous interpreting, document translation and all the related services and staff in the languages of the world.
Among the many international fora SOFITA has helped organise, worth noting are: the Assembly of the Interparliamentary Union, UNESCO’s General Assembly and the CSCE Environmental Meeting held in Sofia in 1989; the Varna Red Cross Film Festivals; the SWISSCOM Conference; the Congress of the Association of International Congress Centres; the Congress of the Transnational Radical Party; a number of World Bank Seminars, seminars
of the Italian Foreign Trade Institute, seminars of OECD-SIGMA, etc. SOFITA’s interpreters, translators and over 100 technical staff worked hard for the successful holding of the Annual Meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in 1996 and the General Assembly of ICOMOS.
