- Back to Class and….. September 14th, 2006
- In the world of school, things are good, although I’ve only had one class so far. Last night I managed to get to class on time, despite having to run across campus and find my way through a maze of hallways. It’s been a long time since I’ve started as a “new kid”. Surprisingly, I recognized quite a few faces from the other campus. The professor was a hoot, her lecture wasn’t even remotely boring, and I got the seminar time that I wanted. I made an effort to take lots of notes (2.5 pages - the most I’ve ever taken in an English lecture), and to participate in the discussion. If I can keep this up for 12 more weeks, I’ll ace the course! Our first novel is Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town by Stephen Leacock. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever had to read for school. It’s a good historical novel and just so funny!
