About me, eh? Well, let's see... I was born in Connecticut and have finally gotten around to moving out of state - after 31 years of being on the east coast, I have moved on to the west coast, taking up residence in Washtington. While travelling through different parts of the world, I've always been drawn to here and Las Vegas... while Vegas might be in my distant future, I'm a northwesterner for the here and now.
Why Washington, you ask? It was simple, really: there's tech jobs in these parts! I had a pretty good run of over six years for a tech company in CT. We went through three different death spirals over that time, rode the pre-bubble, the peak of the bubble and the burst of the bubble. We even survived the post-bubble-burst pain of the early 2000's, but alas: the last money crunch knocked most of the employees out of the company. Such is life! I am sorta proud that the thing wouldn't die for so long - working for one company during the dot-com era is not something most people in the northeast can say. As that job ended, I took a lot around the tech field in CT and New York City and even Boston; I live in Washington now, which should tell you how the job search turned out.
More about me... I've taken a liking to bike riding, seeing as my town has sidewalks and bike lanes. I'm also looking foward to a winter win a minimal amount of snow! Fall is a little different here, but there's still a number of trees that change color; I find myself outdoors more than I thought I would ever be, which still takes some getting used to.
