- In 1997 I retired as a Lieutenant from the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona, after a 20 year career in law enforcement. During my career I first worked as a patrol officer in the Wickenburg area, then I was transferred to the Special Investigations section of the department and for five years specialized in undercover organized crime investigations. Upon making rank of Sergeant, I was transferred back into patrol and then several years later I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
