OmniDiskSweeper is like a maid for your Mac's hard drive. Created by The OmniGroup it helps free up not only disk space, but also potentially saving system resources as well by cleaning out big useless files that are just hogging up space.

The interface is easy to use, providing a hierarchical list of files and folders on your hard drive by size. Files in use by the system are noted to help keep users from accidentally deleting a needed package. Users then go through the list and select files that are no longer needed. OmniDiskSweeper automatically then frees the disk space and recalculates the order of folders for you.
