Company history

Mixpo.com was started in 2005 by President and CEO Anupam Gupta. Anupam has an MBA from Cornell University, and an undergraduate engineering degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, India. Before starting Mixpo, he spent 8 years as a senior business leader in Microsoft's Online Services Group. He led the Product Management teams for MSN Messenger and MSN Spaces. He also led other major global initiatives for MSN including product management for the initial releases of MSN Mobile, drove customer acquisition programs for Internet access and other subscription services, and expanded the communication services business across Europe.

Since it’s start in 2005, Mixpo.com has raised $6.5 million from the Seattle-based Madrona Venture Group, the Working Opportunity Fund (managed by GrowthWorks Capital, Ltd.), Yaletown Venture Partners, SpringBank TechVentures, and other private investors.
